 Professor
Wong has been the Academic Consultant of HKCI and IAM since 2002,
concerning mainly with the quality of teaching and learning, and the
shaping of major policies. He is presently Independent Non Executive
Director of Suga
International Holdings Limited, President of the Semiconductor Industry
Council of the Electronic Industry Association, and Professor Emeritus
of the
Hong Kong
Polytechnic
University
.
He was Vice President of the
Hong Kong
Polytechnic
University
(1990-2000), President of the Hong Kong
Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology (1988-89),
Associate Professor of California State University Los Angeles
(1968-74), and Commonwealth Scholar (1962-1965). Professor Wong
obtained his BSc(Eng) degree from the
University
of
Hong Kong
with First Class Honours,
and his PhD degree from the University of Leeds, UK. He is a Fellow of
the Institution of Engineers,
UK
and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of
Engineers. During his long career, he finds his present association
with HKCI and IAM to be among the most satisfying.
