Professor Joshua S.L. Wong BSc(Eng), PhD, FHKIE, CEng, FIEE

Professor Wong has been the Academic Consultant of HKCI and IAM since 2002, concerning mainly with the quality of teaching and learning, and the shaping of major policies. He is presently Independent Non Executive Director of Suga International Holdings Limited, President of the Semiconductor Industry Council of the Electronic Industry Association, and Professor Emeritus of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

He was Vice President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (1990-2000), President of the Hong Kong Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology (1988-89), Associate Professor of California State University Los Angeles (1968-74), and Commonwealth Scholar (1962-1965). Professor Wong obtained his BSc(Eng) degree from the University of Hong Kong with First Class Honours, and his PhD degree from the University of Leeds, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, UK and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. During his long career, he finds his present association with HKCI and IAM to be among the most satisfying.

K.F. Wong obtained his PhD from Edinburgh University, Scotland, in 1987. After his PhD, he has performed research in Heriot-Watt University (Scotland), UniSys (Scotland) and European Computer-Industry-Research Centre (ECRC) (Germany). At present he is the Associate Dean (External Affairs) of the Faculty of Engineering, a professor in the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, and the director of the Centre for Innovation and Technology (CINTEC), of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

Dr K.F. Chan is an Associate Professor of Strategic Management in the Department of Management and Marketing at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His major teaching and research interests include entrepreneurship, SME development and management, strategic decision making of new and high tech ventures and strategic behaviour of CEOs in PRC. He has published papers in various journals. He also provided consulting advises, and management training and development to companies in Hong Kong and China on topics specifically related to new venture development, strategic planning and control, organizational performance measurement system and balanced scorecard.
